Remote Employees

You hired people in different locations for a reason – help them succeed by

1. Asking everyone to join regular team meetings via individual video – this is inclusive, levels the field and allows for better facilitation.
2. Making remote employees 1:1s a priority, not moving without a really good reason and notice.
3. Scheduling informal time with your remote employees to learn about their strengths, ambitions and culture.
4. Facilitating mentors and exposure to other parts of your org.
5. Distributing projects based on strengths and ambitions regardless of location.
6. Bringing your team together frequently. Lots of organisations try to save T&E, but this is a short term saving that costs you more long term through reduced engagement and ultimately attrition.

Or don’t hire remotely and still work like it’s the 1950s you big ding dong.
